Review : Faces Go Chic Lipstick - Poppy Red

You must have seen a teaser of my new purchase from Faces Go Chic Lipstick - Poppy Red , here. Its time that i can review it. Lately i've been a little attracted to the coral/red shades, simply because they're too loud and vibrant as they immediately brighten up the face. I never thought i'd ever have such a shade in my small stash. Therefore getting this lippie was completely a courageous act for me lol. Ever since i got this, i fell in love with this lipstick, although i still have to learn a lot how to adjust with this too-bright shade for me. I keep on staring this pretty baby 


Poppy Red, as can be seen is a vivid bright coral red shade, that has warm undertones. This is one shade that can easily go wrong if over layered. I think it will look good on all ,except for girls with dark complexions, they on the other hand if want to try it can start by using it in minimal amounts, say lip tint ?

Key ingredients: Phenyl trimethicone, octyl palmitate, capric/caprylic triglyceride, white soft paraffin, shea butter, hydrogenated polyisobutene, ozokerite wax, performalene PL polymer, candelila waz, Carnauba Wax, BHA, propyl paraben, castor oil, mica, almond oil, jojoba oil,  octyl methoxy cinnamate, benzophenone-3, vit-e acetate, perfume, colors

Lets see its swatches 


  • The Lipstick's finish is that of Famous MAC Amplified Lipsticks. 
  • Its a non drying lipstick, moisturizes the lips well, and glides easily on lips. 
  • This one is a pigmented one, therefore it tends to stay for a longer time than usual ( i have Hazelnut from the same range, which stays for like good 3hrs) . So it stays for a longer time.
  • Being pigmented, its quite transferable, so while you wear this out for a lunch or date, better blot it before stepping out. This would absorb the creaminess and would make the color stand out for long time. Make sure you wear a lip balm beneath before using it and blotting.
  • This one lipstick which can satisfy the need of both "red" and "coral" lipstick, infact i think its the closest dupe of MAC Lady danger. Google It and you'll come to know that its almost a dupe.

    I lubbbbbb this color :X =P~ why dont you try mixing it with your lipbalm to give you a tinted lipbalm or use it as a lipstain?
