Hi all !!

Recently i ordered few stuff from Urbantouch, and HealthKart. I had a discount coupon for both sites, and was also thinking to get the famous Revlon Colorbust lipgloss, and also wanted a lip balm, and a decent brown e/s palette.

Another review :D i wanted to review my MAC studio fix powder foundation so badly, because i've been using it almost regularly since i got it. I've been hooked onto it.

MAC Says :-

A one step application of foundation and powder. Gives skin a smooth, flawless, all-matte, full coverage finish. Long wearing : Lasts for upto 8 hours. A real all in one. The choice of pros, and a long time favorite of MAC Fans.

Price : US $26.50 , INR Rs.1600/-

Quantity : 15gms

Shelf Life : 3yrs from the date of manufacture

Here's how it looks like :-

The packaging is usual as any compact would come in. The best part is that it has a lower shelf with a sponge so that you can use it anytime on the go + you don't need to buy a separate brush or sponge to apply the foundation powder. The bottom of the compact has the shade name, while the outer carton has all the ingredients list and necessary information.

You can see i haven't used the sponge yet :P but its sooo soft and i haven't used a sponge like this before. Therefore i have kept it untouched so that i can use it later on when needed.

Okay the shade i was suggested, is NC42. The powder blends in easily and has kept me satisfied till now. Lets see the swatch, before blending and after blending.

Why i love it ???

It stays put on for quite long hours : I use it at 8 in the morning, then while going to college i usually tie & cover my face with a cotton cloth and then on top of it i wear a helmet, and then when i reach college and untie my face, i still look fresh without it getting removed or being cakey, sweaty and all.
It blends in easily, and is fragrance free unlike some other compacts which have fragrance
The result is oil free, matte and radiant 'you'.
I like the packaging too, its sturdy, and you can carry it easily. It has a special lock, that ensures its safety.
The quantity (15gms) is going to stay for a very long time. It is a great investment.

My recommendation :- YES, i will definitely recommend it. Only thing is you need to get a perfect match when visiting MAC counter. It would turn out as a great investment for all you girls. The plus point i need to mention about this product is that it gives you a natural coverage, and you can definitely rely on it and keep foundation at bay. I'm loving this product !! :D

Today i'd be reviewing MAC Carbon -- the most talked about MAC black eyeshadow.

MAC Says :-

Highly Pigmented powder. Applies evenly, blends well.

Price :- Rs.680/- (For Refill Pan, Quantity : 1.5gms)

The refill pan comes in a small envelope kind of packing. Inside you get the pan housed securely in another half envelope.

The inside flap has all the ingredients listed.

Okay, first of all i was mad when i got it, because of so much hype about carbon on net and youtube. But i'm not extremely satisfied with it. Lets see why

It's not smooth to use.
Blending it can be difficult for those who have no knowledge about blending. I somehow manage to blend it.
Its not completely Black. It does look very black in the pan, but lacks pigmentation.

But i have made it work for me, and it can work for you too.. :D

Its supposed to be black, and therefore working with any black e/s can cause fall out problems or you can end up overdoing. But with MAC Carbon, i know how much to start with and i can control the amount to be used.
If used properly with brush, you can blend it like a dream. But blending it with finger tip can make the whole thing look patchy
I use it as an eyeliner, without making any harsh lines. Its perfect to provide a soft smudged eyeliner style.

So overall, it might be a bad product for those who can't manage to make it work, but a brilliant product which provides :-

A controlled application.
Less fall out.
Perfect Matte e/s to get smokey eyes.
Great to use as a soft eyeliner.

How to use MAC Carbon ?? Do use an eyeshadow base, or your foundation/concealer to provide a base for it so that it shows up & blends well. The most important thing is to use it with a brush.

As promised, here i'm back with an eye makeup look, using MAC Fluidline BlackTrack, and MAC Carbon e/s. I didn't use anything else except these two, no mascara no highlighter or anything.

So here we go with the tutorial, its very simple, although it is intense and very dark. You can pair the look with either nude lips or dark lips, depends on you.

Prep eyelids, and then using a flat eyeshading brush push some blacktrack gel eyeliner onto your eyelid. You can easily feather it with the brush, because it doesn't instantly dries up. For more assistance you can use your finger tip to blend it and make a base.
Using the same brush (just use its other side) pat some MAC carbon e/s onto the eyelid, just along the lashes.
Using a big fluffy brush, blend out any harsh lines. Fill in your waterline with blacktrack and you're done with it.

And this is the final look !

Sorry that recently i've been only posting reviews, but once i'm done with them, i'd be coming up with makeup tutorials .. yayyy ! :D

L'oreal Says :-

Price : Rs. 720/- ( I got it from Urbantouch for Rs.685/-)

Quantity : 5.2ml

There are total 9 shades as per the website, but only 3 are available here in, and i got shade no.N4-5 (Light-medium). Urbantouch has two other shades also i.e Neutral-Fair, Neutral-Light & Neutral-Medium/Deep. The shade i got was specifically for under eye areas (though i don't have dark circles). The concealer comes in a typical "lip gloss" kind of packaging, and has brush applicator.

5 reasons to get L'oreal True Match Super-Blendable Concealer :-

It is super easy to blend and is not stubborn.
It provides a medium coverage.
It is light to wear.
It is water proof ( i actually forgot that i was wearing it, and took head bath :D it didn't wash out, but i washed it with face wash )
It stays on for quite a long time.

Following are the swatches in day light :-

I use it as an e/s base also, but after few hours it creases. Following is the before, and after image with this concealer on, although i use it just for eyes.

It does covers the blemishes to some extent, though the shade doesn't matches :P (P.S sorry for blurred image)

My recommendations :- This can be best concealer for some, but not for all, because not all shades are available. I chose this to conceal my eye areas and to give a natural & clean look, esp.when i do eye makeup. If the shade matches your complexion, then you should definitely give it a try !!

Today i'd be reviewing another MAC product -- the famous Fluidline Blacktrack gel eyeliner. Before getting blacktrack fluidline, i was using Maybelline Gel eyeliner which is also my favorite ! but this one is MAC :P :P Anyways.. lets jump into it now !!

MAC Says :-

Ultra-smooth, Fluidline's gel formula provides the precision of a liquid liner with a silkier, softer finish. Goes on "foolproof" with a brush with an easy dip-and-stroke action. Long-wearing. Smudge proof. Lines up in a rich array of color and finishes.

Price : Rs. 1000/-

Quantity : 3gms

It is the best eyeliner that anyone can have, and again 3gms of product will last long !! :D It comes in a small glass tub, without brush. The texture is almost like cream (it sort of melts when used) and super soft that helps in gliding the liner easily.

5 Reasons to get MAC Fluidline BlackTrack :-

It is so soft to use and it glides on easily.
Its quite black , and if you want you can intensify it by layering.
It works great as a base and is very easy to blend too.
It doesn't smudges or tugs around the corners of eyes for a long time.
It is water proof !!

See how black and intense it is !! I would do an EOTD soon.. so you guys can check out how it look !

My recommendations :- MAC products are expensive, but they don't fail in delivering the best !! Fluidline is also one of the best product from MAC. If it would had been any other brand, probably i would not had bought a gel eyeliner for Rs.1000/- , but Blacktrack fluidline is an investment for me. This small tub is going to last long, and one thing i forgot to mention is that.. my maybelline gel eyeliner is a bit rough (maybe it is getting dried) whereas Blacktrack is so soft, it almost feels like you are using a cream !! I am loving it and happy that i bought it ..

Today i'd be reviewing MAC Desert rose blush :)

Price : Rs. 1,150/-

Quantity : 6gms

This blush is a matte soft muted pink, which will suit almost any complexion. It doesn't has any shimmer, is totally matte and offers a nice flush to the face .

The blush is easy to blend, and is not chalky or powdery. One can use it with a blush brush or even your fingers.

5 reasons to get MAC Desert Rose Blush :-

It is a universal flattering shade, which would go with any complexion.
It is perfectly matte ! :D
It is quite pigmented, so little amount is only needed.
Stays on me for more than 5-6hours, and after that it fades evenly.
I am loving it, because it doesn't gives me any breakouts !! :D It is my everyday blush now..

My recommendations :- If you want to buy a blush from MAC, then you can blindly opt for Desert Rose, this is because it will suit most of the Indian complexions perfectly, and one can wear it daily because it is matte. Also it stays for long hours. Its expensive, but never mind it is one time investment because this blush (6gms of blush) is going to stay for quite a long time !

Today i'd be reviewing one of my recent purchases from MAC, i.e a concealer, Select Moisture Cover in shade NW35.

MAC says :

A Luxuriously blendable moisturizing concealer in a tube with built-in doe-foot applicator. Goes on exactly where you want it. Blends in for a natural satin-smooth ultra-moisturized finish. Layers up for added coverage. Line-softening, skin-perfecting. The Pros' "select" for under-eyes and delicate skin. Wide shade range provides soft, natural camouflage. Use with 194 Concealer brush

Quantity : 5 ml / 0.17 US oz
Price : US $17.00 , Rs.1050

The concealer comes in a clear tube enclosed within a carton, with doe-foot applicator, which is easy to use, and only for personal use because we can directly apply to the required areas.
The carton as well as the tube has product details and the shade no. (except for the ingredients missing on the tube)
It is easy to carry, just the size of a lip gloss.
It's a piece of cake when it comes to blending this concealer.
It doesn't leaves cakey effect, but smoothens out the complexion, giving a natural coverage
It is very light to wear.
Stays on for long time.
If used along with foundation and powder, it would give full coverage and would stay longer.
It doesn't breaks me out, in fact it is moisturizing but non-oily at the same time.

I wanted to show the result from this concealer, below is the picture before, with and after applying Select Cover on my cheeks (hate summers when i get zits!!)

Overall i'm very much happy i got it because it does a very well job, stays on easily for long hours, doesn't gives me pimples, provides natural coverage, and for those who want full coverage should try Studio finish concealer or studio sculpt concealer.
