Review : NIVEA Fruity Shine - Pomegranate

Hi all

Today i'm going to review Nivea Fruity Shine Lip Balm in Pomegranate. This was a part of my October Haul last year. Since i've been using it for more than 3 months, i can definitely give an insight about it. So lets get onto the review part.


The Packaging

Nt Wt. 4.8gm


The actual color of the lip balm is as that of the outer case. The cover has exactly the same shade and it also has the minute shimmer blended onto it. This was the packaging.

See, the gloss is same as the cover, it helps greatly in determining the shade of the balm.


The lip balm claims to have fruit extracts & shimmery pigments. The shade imparts a beautiful berry-reddish shade with a high shine. It definitely works best as a gloss, as it gives a nice shine to lips with a gorgeous tint. Look at the swatch below :-


My experience :-

  • I was expecting good results from this balm in terms of serving as a "balm". But it is highly disappointing when we talk about moisturizing factor. 
  • Staying power is bad, The lip balm stays for like max an hour. And it vanishes without leaving any visible tint on lips. 
  • The lips feel dry , therefore i always end up re-applying it more often.
  • It has a good fruity scent, but no flavor. Even if it had flavor, i've never been able to taste it.
  • Its good to be used as a "gloss", but don't get it if you're looking for a "balm", this might not serve you the purpose for solving dry lips issues. Although it's good at this price for being a lip gloss.

    hahaa prabh shade is nice re.. :x but its drying [-( wish it had good moisturizing factor 7:p
