Hi all !!

Today i will be reviewing Lumiere Cosmetics Eye pigment in shade Georgia Peach. These are my first set of eye pigments, and i'm already loving these because of their texture and feel, read more to know about them..

I was sent 2 eye pigments, and i'm reviewing shade Georgia peach today, another one is Deep auburn which is a soft brown pigment (review coming soon).

Lumiere eye pigments come in a wonderful variety of shades and textures to complement any eye color and/or preference. Wear each shade alone or mix and match to create a custom color. They can be applied dry for a subtle look or wet/foiled to make a more dramatic appearance - this will also give you longer wear. Can be worn with or without an eye primer.

Being a peach pigment, it helps to neutralize any redness, darkness around my eyes, and before and after pics look so good. The texture is definitely "silk", and is so easy to glide it over the lids, not chalky. Also the pigmentation (the color is "peach" and might or might not show up on certain people) is fabulous, it covers up all my redness and any kind of dark spots around my lids, so basically it gives me a clean eye effect  without looking overly peachy. 

The sample jar is made of plastic, with a black screw top, and the whole bottom is see through so you can easily locate the shades you want. My only concern is that i wish it had a sifter lid to prevent any fallout from the mouth. Although i'm not sure if the full jar has the same packing or if it has a sifter lid.

Without a primer, it stays for more than 5hrs on my lids, without getting creased (it means a lot to me), but if i'm out in sun, it tends to crease and make the lids kind of sticky (not literally). I'm actually surprised by its staying power and the fact that it stays the way it was applied, i.e doesn't fades. Once i even thought of using it as a blush, but it might be a bit too pale for me to use, so skipped the idea.

Overall a worth product, since the 1gm sample jar itself has a lot of stuff, so in case you want to  haul you can get yourself set of sample jars. These obviously have to be ordered through Lumiere Cosmetics Website here

There are 3 finishes, namely LC, LF, and LP. LC stands for Lipstick Classic, LF for Lipstick fashion, and LP for lipstick Pearl. Since my is LC, i will focus on that more..

Lipstick Classic :-

Lipstick with a long-proven formulation, including vitamin E to stimulate the skin's repair mechanism. Lipstick Classic produces "matte" impression and is known for durability. This lip rouge is available in a wide range of  more than 48 shades.

The lipstick comes packed within cardboard carton having all details such as ingredients, manufacturing date, shade no.etc. The lipstick itself comes in a silver case, and the cap's top has a mirror finish (of no use ) , has a hologram sticker, another sticker on cap with price and dates mentioned, and on the bottom it has the shade no.

The shade LC213 is a very pretty purple plummy fuschia pink lipstick, in fact i'm still confused about the color, reason being every time i use it looks different It has definite blue undertones, that sometimes makes the lipstick look lil unwearable on me. This shade will look good on girls who are fair, and also on medium skin tones, still i'd suggest you to try this lipstick before purchasing it. In flash, it looks barbie pink on me (surprisingly which looks good ), in daytime it sometimes looks fuschia pink, sometimes more darker than fuschia pink, and leaning towards purple.

The texture of the lipstick is consistent, that spreads easily on lips without extra efforts. It provides enough moisturization that you don't need a balm separately. The lipstick however tends to feel heavy (to me at least) if swiped more than once. It has a matte feel, but doesn't dries out the lips. The lipstick is very nicely pigmented, a single swipe covers the lips nicely. It stays for 3-4hrs (without meals), doesn't bleeds, but yes at the end of the day the lips get flaky.

4gms of product is definitely a deal, and that too for Rs.250/-

Sorry for the weird lip swatch, but yes this is how it looks on me sometimes considering the fact that the pics are clicked in same lighting (told ya..its blue based) the above wrist swatch however is very pretty

These lipsticks are Definitely worth the price and worth the quality, i already have a couple of shades in my waiting list, hopefully i get them by this year and thanks to deeps for gifting me this on my birthday !!

Today i will be reviewing the latest sensational lipglosses introduced by Colorbar, TRUE LIPGLOSS in shade Nectar Orange. Out of all other shades, i found this very pretty and wearable, although this shade has its own properties.. Read on to know more..

Claims :-

Colorbar True Gloss collection is here to expunge your woes of having to touch up your lip gloss every now and then. It is highly pigmented and gives your lips a divine shine. Its ultra-moisturizing formula will keep your lips soft and smooth for hours together.

The lipgloss comes packed inside a silver carton with all the details on it, and the packaging of the gloss itself is very chic. The lip gloss has ingredients list missing on it, but thats alright since the outer carton has it, and on the bottom of the gloss you can find the shade name, quantity etc. The gloss definitely is pricey.

Ingredients :-

I like the doe-foot applicator and it brings out just enough amount to cover the lips, the applicator however is a bit stiff. Now let me talk about the texture of the gloss, and i must say the texture is very creamy and thick (not gooey !!) and these reminds me of the revlon colorburst lipgloss' texture. Since the texture is creamy, it hydrates the lips nicely as long as it stays, but my lips do tend to get flaky at the end of the day. The fragrance is mild vanilla, which vanishes after sometime

The shade nectar orange is a matte neon-ish coral-orange, it does look red initially but once applied it takes on a orange hue, and in flash photos it sometimes looks coral pink and sometimes coral red, all depends on what kind of light is projected. Comparing it with all other shades of this range, i find this one more wearable since it looks so damn good as a tint too !! And talking about the pigmentation, it covers up any kind of lip pigmentation easily, and stays on for a long long long time.. the creaminess or say glossiness might fade away, but the tint is very very strong that stays nicely even after heavy meals.

In fact the pigmentation is so good, i'd wish if it was a multi-purpose product like cheek and lip tints, it would have served as a very nice blush.. see for yourself below. The gloss used as a tint on my wrist, survived whole day despite being washed 100s of times.

I have no complaints about this gloss,  just that some might feel that that its very intriguing and will definitely turn heads around

You must try out the glosses from this range, as they're 10/10 in terms of pigmentation, texture and consistency, and staying power !! Absolutely worth it !!

Today i will be reviewing a face pack from Tatha, and it is a special mask for oily, acne and blemished skin. It was sent to me when i was having a bad outburst of acne a couple of months ago. I used it throughout and now is the best time to review it.

The face pack is housed inside a heavy glass tub which is navy blue in color. The glass container makes it fragile and more prone to breaking (ofcourse !!), and once you unscrew the cover, you'll find this plastic lid guarding the main mouth of the tub, sadly there's no stopper or what we call "sifter jar". The packaging has both the advantages and disadvantages, depends on how you are comfortable with it. On the neck of the tub, a small note is tied which has all the following information.

Also on the bottom of the tub, you'll find a sticker having all the details (in case you miss the small note hanging to the neck). The face pack is in dry form, and is very coarsely ground, in fact i dislike the mixture since its coarse and lacks the binding agent, i.e. when you try to make a paste of the pack using water, you'll end up with a mixture that isn't "consistent" in terms of spreading, which obviously makes it less easy to spread on face, and because of that it keeps falling off the face. I used this with water, as opposed to the directions, because i cant use yogurt on face, but still. Also in the ingredients list it mentions that it has all other ingredients except for the "fullers earth" , therefore my little advice is, it would be easy to use this face pack if they add some binding agent to the formula just like fullers earth.

Since the mixtures is unstable, its difficult to make it spread stick to the face, and even if i try it  keeps falling off from the face, and that leads to inefficiency of the product cause i can't use it properly. I really wish they make the mixture a bit more stable by adding something that helps combine the different textures and stick together as one. Its not even about adding more water, because it separates the contents then, making it watery and not at all easy to apply. Although i tried adding this dry pack to other clay based masks, and then it was easy to use it (obviously ! ) 

I really wish they improve the texture of the face pack, since that puts it off and makes it difficult to use. The proportions of ingredients here is faulty that leads me to say that i was disappointed with the product, although this can be given a benefit of doubt.

Hi all !!

Today's post is about how i store my makeup brushes. Before that let me tell you i love love loveeee makeup brushes, especially my Sigma Synthetic Face Kit and all my eye brushes from Coastal scents, they all are my investment brushes, and i don't have any intention to buy MAC brushes.

When i started collecting my brushes, i had no clue as how should i store them in order to minimize any exposure to bacteria or dirt, and also to maintain their shape. I thought of everything  including a pencil stand,  plastic resealable bag etc. I even tried storing them in plastic containers, but either the container was short or long, resulting in a messy condition, and often the brushes would loose the shape.

I wanted something that could accommodate my brushes well, without disfiguring the brushes or spoiling the bristles, therefore i found this very cheap set of stack-able rectangle plastic container whose measurements are just enough to store all my brushes.

In one box, i have put all my face brushes in such a pattern that no 2 brush's bristles collide with each other. This is to prevent them from disfiguring each other by force or weight.

In the other box i have kept all my eye brushes, and they are kept irregardless of shape or size because they don't mess with each other  

As the containers are transparent, i can see the contents properly. The containers are deep enough to store more brushes in them. 

When i wash the brushes, i make sure they have dried properly before storing them, because otherwise if you keep damp brushes in airtight containers like these.. you are intelligent enough to understand the consequences 

These containers can be purchased from any kitchenware store, and they are really cheap, probably under 100rs., this set had 3 containers, i took 2 of them, and gave 1 to my sister. All you need is to make sure you get the containers of the size just a bit bigger from the brushes to provide them enough room.

The tube comes in a cardboard carton, and both the tube as well as the carton has enough details on it. The tube is really handy, and has a long nozzle, and dispenses the amount required. The tube itself is quite nice and sturdy, i'm happy that it doesn't looks cheap or flimsy.

The texture of the serum is very very nice.. it gets absorbed in a jiffy !! and that too without leaving any traces behind, like those gels or serums which leave your skin sticky. Also it doesn't stings your eyes..

Only a small amount, very tiny-miny drop is needed to cover a single eye..

The only problem i found was, that it didn't brighten up the under eye area, or even if it did, it wasn't noticeable. The only thing i liked about it is, its a nice formula that doesn't stings or makes your skin sticky, and is good for a lil "massage" .

If you have severe dark circles, or other problems such as fine lines, then this isn't meant for your, maybe you can give it a try, but it didn't really work on any of these areas.
