Hello readers.....today I’m going to review a face wash from Himalayas.

Himalayas brand needs no introduction. It is very well knows brand from years.  The Himalaya Drug Company was founded in 1930 by Mr. M. Manal with a clear vision to bring Ayurveda to society in a contemporary form and to unravel the mystery behind the 5,000 year old system of medicine. This included referring to ancient ayurvedic texts, selecting indigenous herbs and subjecting the formulations to modern pharmacological, toxicological and safety tests to create new drugs and therapies.

I have never experimented with the face wash. First I tried its very mini tube which costs me around Rs. 15.

Here is the product: -

This neem face wash claims to prevent pimples, which I think is true because if I get any pimple this face wash washes is away. It claims to contain neem and turmeric. As we all know neem is very good in controlling pimples. Even when I make some homemade face pack I also add some turmeric in it. Turmeric helps you reduce pigmentation on your face and even out your skin tone. It can be easily done at home.

Turmeric is one of the best known remedies used to reduce the recovery time of various skin afflictions that are caused by chicken pox etc. Turmeric helps in reducing skin rashes as well.
Also neem is known for its various anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-allergic properties which also help in treating various skin problems.

The backside of the product describes how to use the face wash and list of ingredients.

My experience: -
  • This is soap free face wash, so it does not dry your skin.
  • It really does prevent pimples.
  • It has a very pleasant fragrance.

Pros: -
  • Soap free.
  • Contains neem and turmeric which are very beneficial for skin.
  • Economical.
  • Does not irritate the skin.
  • Suits every skin type.

Cons: -
  • No Cons.

This pack contains 150ml and costs Rs. 115. It is must buy product.

Have you tried this face wash. ?
God Bless...cya...

Hi everyone. I had purchased this cleansing milk of Vedic Line along with the green tea toner. Lets see how my experience with the cleansing milk was.

What the Company Claims Shakes & cleanses make up & grease. Keeps skin soft.

Directions : Apply a few drops on skin. Massage gently for 2 to 3 minutes & clean it with a damp cotton pad.

My experience : The smell of the lychees is very pleasant and extremely mild and stays on for quite sometime. The cleanser is thick, creamy in texture and white in colour. It spreads easily onto the skin and also comes off with ease without leaving any greasy feeling. The skin becomes squeaky clean without any stretchiness. It’s packed in a see-through plastic bottle with a flip cap which is quite sturdy.

Pros-
  • Easy to use.
  • Good smell.
  • Very creamy and of light consistency.
  • Removes dirt and make up cleanly.
  • Cheap.
  • Mild fragrance.

Cons-
  • Availability is an issue.
  • Requires effort to get the product out from the bottle.

Conclusion : I like the Vedic Line products and they seem to impress me with every product that I have tried of theirs. Planning to try out more from their range. Definitely worth a shot.

Recently Deepika launched a page on facebook named Saarisha which includes some beautiful handmade jewellery, pendants, hair accessories and lots of beautiful jewellery pieces.

I bought a dress in red color recently and was looking for the matching jewellery. Luckily I came across this page &  bought a red thread pendant set in red color. Here is a look...

Such type of jewellery is very hard to find in Chandigarh so when I received it I was so excited. I open it and found a beautiful red color pendant set along with a small letter. I truly loved the color of the set. I thought that the earrings would be big but this size is also apt. I can wear it almost every day.  I did a little comparison of the earrings with a 5rs coin.

The earrings are very light, can be worn easily and every day. Talking about pendant, well it also not very huge, making it wearable almost every day. Here take a look how they look like.

Also here is the cute little letter which I got with the set from Deepika.

This set costs Rs. 110 + shipping. I’m happy to shop from Saarisha. I pray that this page grow day by day and attract many customers.  Good luck Deepika...happy to shop from Saarisha

Hello everyone...today I’m going to review a product from Lakme brand. Lakme Insta-Liner, water proof eyeliner. This is second time I bought this eyeliner. I love this eyeliner so much. I was in school when I bought this eyeliner for the first time. This is my very first eyeliner and I have fallen in love with it.

Lakme is the very old and well known Indian brand of cosmetics. This brand was launched in 1952 by Hindustan Uniliver and till now it has grown a lot. From a basic range of cosmetics, Lakme has also launched Lakme Absolute range covering every cosmetic in very high quality. Also its Nine-to-Five range is also very famous. This brand has launched product for every customer. Its product range starts from Rs. 45. This brand suits to almost every customer according their pocket and satisfaction.

Now talking about this eye liner, this is the cheapest eyeliner I know till date. Elle 18 eyeliner costs Rs. 65 but its applicator is not good. This eye liner is not only cheap but it has a very good quality.

(Pic 2 is taken from google)

This eye liner is jet black in shade. This is only shade of this liner.  As the product claims to be water-resistance, it is water resistant but not water proof. It is intense black, which I like a lot. The applicator is thin brush, making its application very easy.

This eyeliner comes in a bottle which is much similar to nail paint one, with an applicator which is not too big not very small. I can say that this is the perfect eyeliner for the beginners like me. (I mean beginners in makeup).

The back of the bottle does not contain any ingredient list. It only says about how to apply and the makers of the product.

My experience: -
  • As I have already mentioned that this my 2nd bottle of the eye liner, so this product has fully satisfied me.
  • I have a great experience with this eye liner, in fact I use to wear it every day in my college.
  • I still use it on daily basis.
  • The applicator is medium sized, so it makes it easy for me to apply it.
  • I love its intense black color.
  • It lasts for 4 to 5 hours. It can lasts for more hours but I haven’t experimented it yet.
  • Its water-resistance quality is adds to its quality.
  • Quantity is enough, that this bottle can last for 2 years.

Here is its swatch :-

Pros:-
  • Very good product to be wears every day.
  • Color is intense black.
  • Very good applicator. You can apply as thick as you want with the applicator.
  •  Water resistance.
  • Smudge free.
  • Beginners must start with this eye liner. It is very good for them.
  • It lasts for more than 4 hours.
  • Does not irritate the eyes.
  • Inexpensive.
  • It is very easy to use.

Cons:-
  • It leaves traces when not removed properly.
  • It takes about 1-2 minutes to dry.

It has shelf life of 30 months. It is 9ml in quantity and costs Rs. 80 INR.
I rate this product as 4.5/5. 0 .5 points is deducted because of its cons.

It is s very good product, Have you tried this eyeliner ?

God Bless....cya...

Lotus Herbals comes out with the most innovative products at times (Remember the hype over the SPF 90 sunscreen?) Well this was another product I spotted in a supermarket and I decided to go ahead and buy it just for its claims and uniqueness. Presenting to you… The Lotus Sunscreen Facewash Gel!!

Now how would it be if we could just use a facewash which also works as a sunscreen and tadaaa!! Ready for the day! But sadly it doesn’t work that way and this innovative product just doesn’t live up to my expectations.

What Lotus claims:

Price: Rs 110
Qty: 80 gms
Ingredients:

The facewash is of a runny consistency (why is it called a gel then??) and even if you try taking out a little quantity carefully.. plop! You get more than you would use for 4 washes So the consistency is a bummer.Secondly it is soooooo difficult to wash the product off the face!! And there is a thin layer of the product (the sunscreen??) even after the miserable attempts to take the product off my face :/ I know they have mentioned on the tube that it leaves a thin film but it doesn’t feel good.  It feels as though my face hasn’t been washed properly. I would rather use a sunscreen.

Once I was successful enough to wash off the thin layer only to find out that my skin was drier than usual. So you either keep the thin layer of layer or strip your skin off moisture and personally I hate both the options

The product doesn’t do wonders on the skin. As soon as I use this my face looks white (not bright though) but that also starts fading off after a while. And I do get tanned even if I use this.
And yes, it does contain SLES so think twice before buying it.

So overall I would just say if you see this in any counter just walk past. It isn’t worth a second look

Hi all !
Today i'd be reviewing a smoothing serum by Garnier Frucits, it is Garnier Fructis Smoothing Serum Silky Straight 24/7. I do like using hair serums/potions in order to tame my frizzy hairs.

Claims :-
Smoothes hair to make it silky.
Detangles unmangeable hair.
Gives you radiant shine.

Price : INR89/-
Quantity : 40ml
Shelf Life : 36months

The 40ml bottle is quite small and handy, and can be easily carried around, can be slipped into your bag, and you can use it spontaneously anywhere. The packaging is sturdy, and has green transparent body, with a flip top cap.

The serum is clear, and has a runny texture, whereas the fragrance is same as that of the rest Garnier fructis products. What i like about the serum is its fragrance, but as far as "silky straight" claim is concerned, i doubt it will hardly work for curly/frizzy/wavy hairs, except that it may work nicely on straightened hairs. Otherwise its an ok-ish serum, but alone it doesn't helps in de-tangling hairs. The other thing that i like about it is, that it adds nice shine to hairs.

Pros :-

  • Small Packaging lasted me more than month.
  • Nice fragrance.
  • Affordable.
  • Easily available.
  • Non-greasy.
  • Adds shine to hair.
Cons :-
  • Does nothing to make hairs silky.
  • Does not detangles hair properly

So based on its 3 claims, i would rate it 1/3 because it only adds shine to my hairs and nothing else. I would not purchase it, however girls with sleek straight hair might want to try it.

Have you tried Garnier Fructis Smooehing Serum ?

Godbless !!

Hi everyone. This is the review of the my favourite scrub – Hip Hop Kiwi Scrub.

What the Company Claims Hiphop Skin Care Kiwi Face Scrub is a unique & advanced face scrub specially formulated with micro granules. It contains real Kiwi extract, Aloe Vera, Honey & Vitamin C. It gently & effectively exfoliates dead skin cells, dirt, oils & impurities from deep within the skin. Kiwi fruit is an abundant source of Vitamin C, an excellent facial cleanser which gently exfoliates skin, removes toxins, reduces scars, blemishes & dark spots. Also contains Aloe Vera, Honey & Vitamin C to moisturise, soothe & lighten the skin. Suitable for all skin types.

Price : 80INR for 120gms
Availability : Available at online sites
Expiry : 36months from Pkg
Directions : Moisten face & neck. Squeeze a quarter sized portion of the product and apply all over face & neck with wet fingertips. Gently massage for a minute in circular movement avoiding eye area. Rinse well with water & pat dry.

My experience: It comes in an inverted plastic tube with a flip cap and with a picture of the kiwi fruit on the front. The packaging is sturdy, travel friendly and the cap shuts tightly so no problem of spillage. It has a nice mild fragrance. The scrub contains green and brown granules and the scrub overall is pista in colour. The scrub is not creamy and the granules are quite mild. It exfoliates the skin well and the granules clean the skin effectively. I have oily/combination skin which gets dry with changes in weather. So I have used it at both times when my skin was oily as well as dry and it cleansed my skin effectively regardless of its condition. So I think it will suit all skin types.

Pros-
  • Sturdy Packaging.
  • Granules are mild.
  • No parabens.
  • Will suit all skin types.
  • Good enough for everyday use.
  • Quite cheap.
  • Cleanses the skin effectively.

Cons-
  • Availability can be an issue.

Conclusion : Gentle scrub good enough for everyday use. Waiting for this one to be over, so that I can try the Coffee one.

Hello readers.....today I’m going to review a product from Jovees Cosmetics brand- Jovees Foot Cream & Scrub. I bought this scrub from www.urbantouch.com.

Here is brief information about the brand- JOVEES is a line of Herbal cosmetics aligning the Power of Herbs & Power of science and is produced at the state-of-the-art manufacturing units at Rudrapur and Noida (India) using the most modern scientific processes that meet international standards. The Range was launched in September' 2004 in New Delhi and subsequently launched across India. The products are sold through the top departmental and cosmetic stores across India.

JOVEES comprises of Herbal Skin Care Range, 24 Carat Gold Range, Sun Care Range, Hair Care Range, Lip Care, Eye Care. The products are being exported to United Kingdom, Spain, France, Holland, Hong Kong, Korea, Sri Lanka, Malaysia and Nepal. (Source www.jovees.com)
After reading about the company profile, I realised that its really good and big brand. Also its good to know that they use herbs in their product.

I’ve tanned feet so I decided to give a try to some foot scrub. I chose this one because it contains both cream and scrub.  The product says:  A cream cum scrub formulation easily absorbed into the skin, shall help in the healing of the problems of even the driest and roughest feet. This unique product that shall rejuvenate and revitalize damaged skin to give your feet a smoother, healthier and more radiant appearance. A daily use product for your beautiful feet.

I loved the composition, cream + scrub as the scrubbing by using this scrub is very gentle. Also the cream helps in maintain the moisture of the skin. But also the scrub is so gentle that it didn’t showed good results.

The product comes in a plastic tube with a flip top and has pinkish creamy composition with a pleasant soap like fragrance.

My experience: -
  • I’m using this scrub for past 2-3 months, but I’m not satisfied with it.
  • It does clean the feet but does not remove the tan.
  • The cream is good, as it helps in healing the heels and also provide moisture.
  • I love its fragrance.

Here are its ingredients: -

Pros : -
  • Inexpensive.
  • Good combination of cream and scrub.
  • Fragrance is good and mild.
  • Cream provides moisture.
  • Non greasy.
  • It’s handy.

Cons : -
  • Does not remove the tan.
  • Talking about particularly scrub, it didn’t work out for me.

It is a 60g pack and costs Rs. 75 INR.

Have you used this scrub? Which Scrub you use?

Hi everyone. This is the review of the Biotique Milk Protein Face Pack

What the Company Claims : Milk Protein has been nature's moisture booster and lightening elixir since Cleopatra's legendary bath. The whitening and nourishing pack is blended with pure extracts of milk protein, wheat germ, almond oil, honey and seaweed to moisturize and revitalize the skin. Eases away wrinkles and lightens skin for a visibly fairer, smoother, rejuvenated complexion.Helps to moisturize and revitalize the skin. It eases wrinkles and smoothes the skin making it radiant. Can be used every day.

Price : 199INR for 60gms
Availability : Available at online sites and general beauty stores
Expiry : 3years
Directions : Apply evenly over cleansed face, neck and around eyes. Leave on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse with water or damp washcloth. Use daily or as needed.

My experience : Like all Biotique products this face pack also comes in their standard green tub packaging. I seriously wish they change this packaging soon, because its such a turn off to dip your fingers in to remove the product. And the worst part is, it always gets into my nails. The face pack is creamy, thick off-white in colour. And the best part is that it doesn’t dry up at all. Not even if you keep it for an hour. (Yes I tried it) So it’s a boon for dry skinned girls as there is no stretchy feeling that the masks usually give upon drying. The mask is creamy in texture, so it spreads easily onto the skin. I leave it for like 20mins and then wash it off with cold water. It comes off easily but takes its time. It leaves the skin extremely soft, hydrated and radiant. It even removes the tan to a certain extent. It has a very mild fragrance and is gentle enough for everyday use.

Pros-
  • Gives a radiant look.
  • Leaves skin soft and smooth.
  • Removes tan to a certain extent.
  • Non-drying mask, so no stretchy feeling.
  • Presence of natural ingredients.
  • Does brighten up the face.

Cons-
  • The tub packaging.

Conclusion : I like this mask, especially during the winters when my skin tends to get dry and flaky. A good mask for daily use.Definitely worth trying.

Let me start of by telling you that I hate the smell of roses. It gives me a headache. So your question should obviously be why I got the Avon Red Rose and Peach Hand soap  I got this on an offer with the Avon Red Rose and Peach body wash and I wanted to use it for gifting but my handwash had just gotten over and being too lazy to go to the store and get another one I started using this

What Avon claims :

Price : Rs 199
Qty : 200 ml
Ingredients & Directions for use :

Packaging : Comes in a pink square-ish dispenser with a stopper.
Fragrance : Maybe its my bad luck but the scent of roses overpowers the peach fragrance. The scent is so overpowering that it gives me a headache!!
Avon claims that this handwash has a gentle moisturizing formula but when I use this I really don’t find any difference. Infact it dries out my hands a little.

Here’s another reason why you might think twice before using it: It has SLS !
This handwash is definitely inexpensive for the quantity given but why would we buy something which doesn’t.

Overall I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone (even if you like the fragrance of roses). It is just another product which does nothing for your hands !
