Hi all !!
Today i'd be reviewing Lush Aqua Marina cleanser, that i purchased in February. I have used it extensively and now i can give my verdict on how good it is.. Everyone raves about this cleanser..find out if i agree with them.

Price : INR 585/- for 100gms
Shelf Life : 3 months (i'm happy its not 3 weeks lol )
Claims :-
Skin-softening seaweed cleansing wash. Aqua Marina is a calming but effective cleanser and a joy to use. Like a pink mousse wrapped in seaweed, it feels so soft and wobbly that you'll want to play with it, rather than clean your face with it. Smooth it on, rinse it off and your face feels smooth, smells sweet and looks brighter. It has calamine and aloe vera to soothe irritated skin, especially when you've been caught by the sun or the wind. The kaolin cleanses deeply and tightens your skin a little. Immediate result: smoother, softer and firmer skin straight away. Long term result: using Aqua Marina will help to get rid of your skin's toxins and protect it from the wear and tear of daily life.

Ingredients :-

The packaging is usual black matte tub, and 100gms tub fits nicely in your palm. I personally don't like tub packaging, but when its lush you can't complain. The tub packaging might be travel friendly, but you don't always drag stuff you can't take care of while travelling. So this is best to be used at home.

The reason I bought it was to remove the tan, so obviously i had huge expectations from it. Initially when i started using the cleanser, the first thing i noticed was the smell fragrance, it was ok but i didn't like it. The second thing i noticed was the seaweed, which came along the scooped cleanser on my hand. I thought freak.. am i supposed to use it on my face ?? I was like "this looks like algae" lol  but any how i used the "algae" on my face  Did i notice any change ?? Well no, not at the first time, so i decided to use it daily at least once (to get rid of the mild tan i had from winters + whatever tan i had got till now) .
  • Using it almost daily helped clean my face a lot.
  • It made skin even, and removed the tan (but with daily use only)
  • The marks on my face are fading out evenly
  • It gives my skin a brightness and my skin glows !!

The seaweed gets dissolved (not completely) on the face, the closest example i can give is the way paper gets dissolved and fleshy. But it kind of helps in exfoliation.

The best way to use it is :-
  • Wet your face.
  • Scoop out some aqua marina on your finger.
  • Rub the finger (with A.M on it) on your face in circular motion.
This way, it will be less messy + no mixing required on your palm, and then back to your face etc etc  Trust me i used it with many methods i got to read on internet, but using it with finger is most easiest and mess free !!

What i like about it :-
  • Excellent product to remove tan
  • Removes marks from face gradually
  • Natural ingredients
  • Even skin tone
  • Mild exfoliation

What i don't like about it :-
  • Cost !!
  • Shelf life (but still it is good as compared to shelf life of other lush products)
  • Tub packaging (can't help with that now)
  • No visible changes for pores & black/white heads

Of course you need to clean up your makeup with a remover before using this cleanser, as this doesn't removes the makeup. I normally remove my makeup (if any), then wash my face with a normal face wash (currently using Dove face wash-deep pure), and once i'm assured i use A.M on my face, and on days when i have time , i massage it on my damp face and then let it dry for 2-3 min, and then again massage it with damp hands and then let it dry like a mask (this works great as a mask too).

I'm loving this cleanser, and after using it for more than 4 weeks i can assure that this is the best way to remove tan (it is all natural & obviously cruelty free), i don't mind shelling 585/- once in a while for a product that works greatly on removing my tan.

Oh btw check out how it is made HERE

Have you used Lush A.M ?? Share in your experience.

Hi gals !!
I was very curious about the lip stain thing recently, but was not adventurous enough to shell my money on expensive lip stains like Max factor etc. So when i saw this lip stain in oriflam catalogue (did i tell you how lucky i consider myself for  having a very nice oriflame consultant ?? she is kind enough and gives me good discounts & i don't feel like i've burnt a hole in my pocket) Ok enough.. Read on to find out if it worked for me..

Claims :-
Give your lips a juicy hint of color. Combine with clickit lip gloss for total shine.

Price :- INR 169/- (i bought it last month in offer, don't remember that price)
Quantity :- 3.5ml

There's not much mentioned on the small vial like packaging (which is sturdy plastic and not a flimsy one though) except for the quantity. I wish if something regarding the ingredients was mentioned at least in brochure

The small tube is exactly the size of my index finger   It is small, but thinking otherwise, it is a lip stain which is used a stain and not as lip gloss/lip balm/lipstick , so you don't really need a lot of quantity

I'm ok with the sponge tip applicator, since it is not too soft or flexible and not too hard. It picks up just the right amount of product ,and applying the stain is not a big task.

Here are the swatches of the lip stain (in natural light) The swatches seem to be influenced with red mixed with coral hints, though on application it doesn't show up as coral. On my pigmented lips it gives a nice red tint (not too stark) but just a healthy feel to them.

Blended Swatch :-

How do i use it :-
  • Well i needed to figure out how to use it properly, as the very first time i used it made my lips sticky and i felt like i've applied some diluted fruit jam  And when i licked my lips (everyone does so ) it faded.
  • Next time i used it , i applied it evenly on lips, and let it dry. After that i stayed on for a good time.
  • And finally now i've figured out how to make it last all day long !! I apply a thin layer of the stain evenly on my lips, I just let it dry for half an hour (without drinking/licking lips  ) in this way it stays on my lips for like 6-7hrs and even more sometimes !!

Experience :-
  • I'm using it almost daily, and haven't felt any kind of irritation or discoloration of lips !
  • It acts as a nice base for lip gloss, lip balms and lipsticks. I've tried it as a base on 3 of these and it is quite good
  • I haven't dared to use it as a cheek stain, because i don't want sticky cheeks or say clogged pores due to fruity/sugary flavor and stickiness.
  • With that i need to tell u that it has amazing flavor, which might make you taste it off your lips.
  • If properly used it stays for 6-7hrs

What could have been improved :-
  • They could have provided a list of ingredients.
  • Too yummy sticky for a few people, although i believe it needs to be sticky since it is a stain and it needs to adhere on lips. It cannot be compared to the stickiness of lipglosses, but something like you're lips are coated with sugar syrup layer.
  • It dries off, and doesn't moisturizes the lips, so there's no moisturizing factor, and you'll have to use a balm.

This was my experience with the lip stain, and i was disappointed at first, but after i figured out how to use it properly, i can say that it is indeed quite a good and affordable lip stain

Have you ever used this or any other lip stain ?? Share in your thoughts ! Have a lovely week ahead

Godbless !!

Hi all !!
Yesterday i reviewed Nyx Auto Eye Pencil (purple) and today i did eye makeup using the same pencil. This look is based on my love for purples pinks n blues !! This is fairly simple eye makeup, and steps are quite easy.
So lets start with the tutorial

1. Start by priming your eyes, i haven't primed though. After that i rubbed nyx eye pencil on my finger tip, and started blending it on my eyelid. I love using eye pencils as base, more than using them as eye pencils. The heat generated with finger tip will make it more easy to blend the pencil.

2. After blending the eye pencil, i used a pink eyeshadow with a pearl finish it it, i used a discontinued blusher from Avon (which surprisingly turned out so good, that it is still in a very good condition with great pigmentation). For matte eye shadow i would choose my inglot blush any day, i did a makeup using both in my last teaser post . After applying the eyeshadow, i used a mineral eyeshadow from coastal scents, read its review here on WiseShe, using a blending brush right on the crease. Since i used it with the help of a blending brush, i got the smokey effect, if you use a pointed crease brush you will get that sharp crease.

3. After that i didn't wanted stereo-type black eye liner, so i customized some for myself. I  mixed coastal scents mineral eyeshadow with nyx eyeshadow base- pearl (review coming soon, check teaser here). Due to the creamy texture of eyeshadow base , mixing the mineral eyeshadow was quite easy.
Then i filled in my waterline, used mascara, and highlighte brow bone !!

I love customizing my eyeliners, although i don't own too much of stuff like pigments to do so. Still i try to manage with whatever i have Do you also experiment with your stuff ?? Share in the comments !

Have a lovely weekend Gals  Godbless !!

Hi all !!
A few days back you all saw the teaser of NYX Auto eye pencil HERE. I am really loving this eye pencil, more because its purple !! This is my first nyx pencil, and i had no idea how it would turn out. So did it turn a good product or a total dud ?? Read on to know ..

Price : INR 225/- (got it for INR 180/- from Urbantouch.com
Quantity : 0.22gms

Claims :- (From urbantouch.com)
NYX Auto Eye Pencil takes your look to a whole new level of beautiful by emphasizing your eyes with this rich, intense, long lasting eyeliner pencil! The creamy texture of NYX Auto Eye Pencil delivers intense pigmentation while it moisturizes. It’s a twist-up style eyeliner and doesn’t need to be sharpened.

The packaging is really good !! i mean really good, it is a black retractable plastic pencil which is quite sturdy. The pencil has all the details, and the base ring is of the same color as that of the pencil. Check the above image.

The shade purple is a pearly purple (not an intense one) and it has definite hints of pink !! i love to use it as an eyeliner and as a base for eyeshadows too !!  There are no shimmer particles, which makes it easy to be used day time too.

Swatches :-

What i like about it :-
  • Glides on easily without pulling or tugging eyes !
  • No need of sharpening of course
  • A versatile purple color which can be build up for intense look, whereas single strokes create a sensuous look
  • It doesn't smudges or creases on my "oily" lids for amazing 3-4hrs !!
  • Its not stark shade, infact this is quite a wearable shade.
  • Affordable if bought online

What i don't like about it :-
  • Sadly it starts fading after 3 hours. I believe other dark shades might not fade easily.
  • I wished if it was a bit more dark, say eggplant purple (i know i'm a bit greedy now lol)

Have you used NYX auto eye pencil ??  Which is your favorite eye pencil ?

Godbless !!

Hi all !!
Today i'd be doing a requested tutorial, Deepika requested me to do a eyeliner tutorial, and i thought of coming up with a short series of different kinds of eyeliner application. I hope you find the post helpful and here we go..

I usually use my Coastal Scents Angled Brush, which is much similar to MAC 266 brush (this makes me super happy lol ), but since all of you might not be having a similar brush , therefore i did this tutorial using Vega's angular blender brush. For a reference check this image :-

The steps are really easy, and if you have a steady hand, you'll easily grasp the whole procedure

1. Dip the angular brush so that only the tip of the brush gets enough amount of product. Then start tracing your eye along your lashline. Its almost like making an outline of your lashes. Don't worry if you don't get a steady line, this is just going to help you as guideline.

2. Fill in the gap using eyeliner brush (don't use product unless the brush needs it), stop it once the gaps seems to be filled. You can leave it as it is if you don't wish to make it winged.

3. Now for the winged part, slant your brush and make tilted line (hope i make sense ) check image for reference.

4. After making the line, join the upper end and bring it down to the lashline, its like making a triangle, that you will fill in later )

5. Now fill in your triangle with the eyeliner

Finally fill in your waterline with some kohl/kajal/gel eyeliner whatever your eyes prefer and put on some mascara  and you're good to go !! Remember only with practice you'll achieve flawless finish, and for that you'll have to try and practice, also make sure you don't blink your eyes, only steady hand and alert eyes help in flawless eyeliner application (ofcourse you need a good brush too !! ) I also use artist brush (0 no.brush) for eyeliner application, since they are synthetic + affordable and i end up buying 3-4 brushes.
