Here’s the continuation of the previous post on Vitamins, which you can read HERE. I hope you guys find this useful.



Vitamin C: Helps improve immunity and prevents acne. Necessary for healthy bones, teeth and gums. Also helps maintain a healthy skin.  Source: All citrus fruits, capsicums, strawberries, broccoli, leafy greens, tomatoes, lemon, cabbage, apples, bananas, pineapples, peaches, mangoes

Vitamin D: also known as the Sunshine Vitamin is essential for calcium absorption.  Since we all use sunscreen or sit in front of the computer all day long it is very essential to include fish, egg yolk, butter in our daily food because sunlight is the only major source of it and I doubt if we really get our daily source from that.

Vitamin E is an anti oxidant which protects against sunburns and UV rays. Prevents premature ageing. Used on skin for cold sores, eczema.  Source: nuts, oil, sunflower seeds, spinach, wheat, oils, avocado, apple, carrot, celery, boiled tomatoes, grapes and cabbage

Vitamin F: keeps skin supple and keeps hair healthy and shiny.  Source: Flax seed oil, grape seed oil, nuts and seeds like soyabean, walnut, sesame, sunflower and avocado.

Vitamin P (also known as bioflavonoids): This enhances the absorption of Vitamin C. Also helps in fighting allergies and relieving sport injuries. Lack of Vitamin P leads to prolonged bleeding.  Source: The white layer beneath the orange and other citrus fruit peels, peppers, grapes, onions, garlic, green tea.

Vitamin K: Helpful in blood clotting Deficiency leads to prolonged bleeding. Could lead to anaemia.  Source: Cheese, Coffee, Corn, Green Tea, Carrots, Strawberries, Tomatoes, Potatoes and Eggs.

    A great Informative post Deeps! If only teachers had made it interesting like this in school i surely wouldve still remembered it :D..Loved this series and those strawberries n blackberries are soo tempting :P
