Lakme has come out with a a break-through innovation in sun care-  like Lakme Sun Expert Cucumber & Lemongrass Fairness Sunscreen range and Lakme Sun Expert Aloe Vera & Sun Flower Fairness. And I ‘tried  the Aloe vera and Orange Flower because I always have some orange juice in my daily home made face-pack either its Fuller’s earth (Multani Mitti) or Besan...You can use directly the Fresh Aloe Vera gel on your face..

Let me tell you 1 thing, Just stepping out till the neighborhood café? Only going to be out in the sun till you enter your car? Enjoying drinking your morning tea by the window? Ever think about how even two minutes in the sun can damage your skin? Spots, wrinkles, uneven skin tone and tanning can all start with just two minutes in the sun.



How to Apply sunscreen –
Apply all over the exposed part of the body at least 30 minutes before sun exposure.Give it  minute or two to be absorbed into the skin before applying any make up.Re-apply every 3-4 hours if needed.For external use only.

My experience with Lakme Sun Expert Fairness UV Lotion with SPF 24/PA++:
This product is suitable for all skin types and I have a normal skin so I thought that I will work for me. I’ve been using this product from past 1 month  and it protects my skin when sun exposure is limited to the skin. It is a light feel sunscreen but takes time to absorb completely and also leaves little greasiness feel on the skin when applied it in large amount. It also leaves light white cast on the skin. Lakme also claims that it is also a fairness lotion, but till now I haven’t noticed any signs of fairness or change in my skin tone.



Pros of Lakme Sun Expert Fairness UV Lotion with SPF 24/PA++:
  • Its protects you from harmful effects of the sun and also makes the skin lighter with regular use.
  • Offers a complete range from SPF 24, 30, 50 and PA+, PA++ and PA+++.
  • When used in small quantity it doesn't leave greasiness on skin.
  • SPF fights against UVB rays that cause sunburn. It’s a broad-spectrum sunscreen (contains both SPF 24 and Pa++).
  • Suitable for all skin type.
  • PA+++ blocks out UVA rays that cause tanning, premature aging, sun spots and pigmentation.


Cons of Lakme Sun Expert Fairness UV Lotion with SPF 24/PA++:
  • May not be suitable for those who have a very dry skin, they definitely also have to apply moisturizing lotion first.
  • It does not make you look fairer, nothing do to with fairness.
  • It may leave the greasiness on oily skin people.




Final Verdict and recommendation:
Overall it is a good product when you do not have to stay in a sun for a long time or exposure is limited. As claimed by Lakme it doesn't seems to make your skin look fairer and leaves some greasiness when applied in excess. There are products available in market which provides similar benefits and also does not leaves greasiness or white cast, so we would rate it 2.5/5.. And I like my Vaseline Healthy White More ..

    oooh i hate any product dat makes skin greasy and leaves white cast :-/ good i'm not experimenting much with lakme :P :P even i was happy with vaseline healthy white before i tried nivea cell repair lotion <3

    Very reasonable ........
    I want one suncreen which leaves white cast ...I will mix it with my foundation (by mistake I bought 2 shades darker than my skin tone ) This will help me to make it proper shade :-)

    This is one of the effective product.It softens the skin and has a mild cucumber scent which is
    very refreshing scent.. It makes the skin fresh soft and protects from UV rays ..I have used this product. I must say this is really effective.
