Hi all !
Today i'd be reviewing Clean & Clear Blackhead Clearing Daily Scrub. I love scrubs but only recently i started using them back again. Earlier when gel based scrubs were not available i totally missed using the scrubs because the cream based ones had walnut particles and the cream part used to make my skin oily.

So when i saw this in my sister's bag i asked her to give me and buy another one for herself , advantage of being youngest one  Anyways, what made me literally snatch it from her bag was "blackhead clearing", "daily scrub" and cute blue packaging.

Claims :-
Visibly Less blackheads in just 3 days. Oil Free, won't clog pores

Price : INR 80/-
Quantity : 80gms

The packaging is really simple and neat with blue body and visible graphics that has enough details printed on it. The cap is quite good and sturdy.

Ingredients :-

Swatch :-

The texture of this scrub is gel like, with micro-scrubbing beads which are gentle but very very effective. These beads or particles, call them whatever you want, can be felt working on your skin and the scrubbing is really noticeable. My only concern with this scrub was that would it be gentle and yet effective to scrub my face without bruising my skin and making it oily. The scrubbing is really good, it lathers well, and one can scrub almost daily, although i scrub now on alternate days. The results are good, but one needs to continue using it in order to get rid of the stubborn blackheads.

What i liked about it :-

  • Light gel like texture with micro-beads that scrub skin effectively and gently and gets dissolved.
  • Nice fragrance.
  • Oil Free formula.
  • Doesn't leaves paper dry skin or bruised skin.
  • Great for every day use (although i use it on alternate days now) and yes for me visibly reduced blackheads.
  • Dirt cheap
  • Easily Available

What i don't like about it :-
  • Not effective for old stubborn black heads.
  • I don't think it would be suitable for dry skin that needs extra scrubbing.
  • Can't think of anything more

Which is your favorite Scrub ?? How do you get rid of blackheads ?? Share in your thoughts below ..

All the best

Hi all !
Today i'd be reviewing a hand cream by Oriflame, which is probably my first hand cream. I was never a hand cream person, maybe because i was never into household works, that kind of justifies and gives another reason to use hand creams. But lately i have been taking care of house, and at times i have been working like a maid *sob* , so my hands are suffering from dryness, and flaking of skin (almost like snake skin).

I don't remember when i bought it  maybe in February or march.. anyways whatever

Claims :-
Ideal for when you’re on the move, an effective hand cream with moisturising, conditioning Glycerin and softening, protecting Sweet Almond Oil. Compact and easy to take with you, absorbs quickly and gives lasting hydration.
Quantity : 50 ml.
Price : INR 149/- (offer price i don't remember )

Ingredients :-

The packaging is very simple and neat and not much flashy ! The white body with green cap gives a soothing feeling.. + it is travel friendly and you can easily slip it into your bag  The graphics ain't that convincing, i mean its alright but you can hardly see the ingredients list because they 're really really tiny, but thankfully they have mentioned the ingredients unlike the oriflame Lip tint which had no ingredients list.

Swatch :-

The cream is very very light in consistency and is li'l runny, i.e. it tends to sort of melt when it comes in contact with the skin, and gets easily absorbed. The fragrance is very mild, and one can easily detect sweet almond oil, and the fragrance vanishes after sometime. My only concern while buying a hand cream was that my hands were getting horribly dry (p.s :- my hands are a subject exposed to harsh sun as i drive (activa & car), i work in kitchen 3 times a day, wash clothes and blah blah  ---- not normal for a post graduate student i know but still have to manage because of ongoing situations  yeah i don't want to sound like a drama queen. but i have to tell you because my hands were getting ignored and the result ended up with search of  a nice hand cream) and my skin was peeling almost every 2nd day, so i wanted something thick and moisturising. Because at times this cream didn't help much with the hydration, i literally wanted to put on gallons of oil on my hands and massage.

What i like about it :-
  • A nice light weight hand cream with a soothing fragrance
  • Non-greasy
  • Gets easily absorbed into skin
  • Perfect for summer use since its not much thick and greasy
  • Easy compact packaging that can be put into bag and used often

What i don't like about it :-
  • Not much thick for excessive dry hands, or hands looking out for some immediate "moisturizing" treatment (like mine )
  • Expensive if not bought during offers
  • Not easily available; can be purchased through Oriflame representatives

These days i'm using this cream along with Nivea Hydrating body lotion, and the results are good, but not great. I would review the body lotion soon.
Which is your favorite Hand cream ?? Also please share which hand creams worked or didn't work for you ??

Hi all !!
I am back with another tutorial, and this time i wanted to do a celebrity inspired makeup, and a few days back i was reading an article on yahoo about Katy perry's IPL performance, upon which i thought to do a tutorial inspired by her makeup. Following image is the inspiration for my this look that i've made into a collage.

Oh and btw this is my 150th post So let's start with the tutorial

Step 1 :- Prime your eyelids and apply purple base
I started off by applying some eyeshadow base, ad blended it well. After that i took a purple eye pencil and blended it on top of the e/s base. After blending it properly, i used Stila Smudge pot gel eyeliner in ultraviolet, gifted to me by Zara bhabs  read her review here on Wiseshe and used it on top of everything and blended it.

Step 2 :- Apply Purple Eyeshadow
I patted some purple eyeshadow all over the lid, mine is of pearl finish, you can however try a matte or shimmery purple too. Then using a small brush, i used a silver eyeshadow and placed it on the inner corner of the eyes. This will illuminate your eyes and give a wide eye look. However refrain from using a glittery silver eyeshadow.

Step 3 :- Blend harsh lines and line your eyes
Then i used a clean blending brush and opted for a matte soft pink eyeshadow to blend any harsh lines. After blending properly i applied a lime acid green e/s on the bottom lash line area. Don't put the e/s inside your eyes duh

After that i decided to do the classic wing eyeliner that i have noticed katy does a lot many times, although in the inspiration pic it doesn't seems like she's wearing a proper eyeliner, she's wearing damn sexy eyelashes Finally i used a couple of mascara coats to create dramatic lashes and highlighted the brow bone, and i'm done !!

Share in your thoughts how you liked the tutorial

Hi all !!
Jyoti (our very own Jyo) from Everything that matters, has tagged me in 7 Deadly sins of Beauty, read her tag post here

As per the rules of tagging i'm also supposed to answer all the questions listed below  so please bear with my answers, i can get really boring at times  but hope to reveal all my beauty sins

So here are all the questions :-

What is your most inexpensive beauty product you love and why?
= The most inexpensive beauty products that i've tried so far and still repeat is local nail polish removers, those Davis and all  yeah believe it or not i never spent money on expensive nail products, not even a nail paint.

What is your most expensive beauty product you love and why?
= All my MAC purchases so far (which were all bought together) are accountable to be called expensive  Read my haul post HERE on Wiseshe.

Which beauty product you have love and hate relationship with? Name it.
I'm sorry for all those MAC Cosmo lovers, but would have to say this that despite being a gorgeous, attractive, elegant and a classy soft pink lipstick, i got fooled by it, i mean i didn't got enough time to test it on myself before buying it, and ended up with a lipstick that makes mockery of me every time i see it just because it doesn't suits me  that reminds me if anyone is interested in buying MAC Cosmo (used 4-5 times) please mail me.

What is your most delicious beauty product?
= Ummm.. kinda tricky question.. ok i would list 2 things according to the fragrance that i feel are delicious, i love Avon Naturals Lip Balms not only because they have a sweet fragrance but they taste yumm too. Secondly i'm loving Lux Magic Spell Body wash because its fragrance is just awesome

Which product do you neglect due to laziness?
= Probably moisturizers and eye creams are the most neglected products for me, i'm too lazy to use both of them although i've started using them strictly for past one month and can see the upshot

What beauty product makes you feel confident?
= All my eye makeup products make me feel confident and positive. On a second thought i do love lip balms and glosses equally

What traits you find attractive in opposite sex?
= More than attractiveness, i would say that any Man who has hearts to stand his ground and stick to what he says definitely earns my respect, also a little act of courtesy towards everyone (especially women, or say me ) would attract me  Looks also matter !

What items you would like to receive as a gift?
= I would like to receive following stuff as gifts (anytime) :-
  • MAC Eyeshadows !!
  • INGLOT
  • Black BErry !!
  • Kryolan
  • Illamasqua
  • Sleek
I know the list is already too much .. but as always i promise myself to fulfill these wishes for myself
It was so much fun doing this post, and actually realizing all that i wrote. Now i know this tag post has been up for a while, and we're probably the last one's to get tagged, still i wanna tag Deepika of Divassence, Zara Bhabs from The World through my Retina, Erica from PurplesnPinks , Rekha from Glitter & Gorgeous, Krupa from All About Ladies ! Reveal your secrets girls
