So
here is the last and final instalment of this series! A guide on making your
face scrub at home ! Hope you like it!
For
making a face scrub you need two basic ingredients: something that will form
the scrub part (the basic ingredient) and
an ingredient that will hold the scrub together and provide nourishment.
Lets
start with the basic ingredient.
Now
when you take a store bought face scrub you will find that it is mostly made of
almond grits.. Errr.. Okay whatever
So I have picked 4 other ingredients
easily available to us : sugar, coarsely ground almonds (only for normal/dry
skin since it has oil content), sooji (rava/semolina) and oatmeal. You can choose any of
these 4 to make your scrub although I wouldn’t recommend sugar if you have
sensitive skin since it can be really rough on the skin. Sugar qualifies for an
excellent lip scrub though.

Now
choosing the ingredient to bind the scrub together is as important as the scrub
itself. This also serves a particular purpose. For e.g, if you have dry skin,
add a little olive oil to the basic ingredient and use! As simple as that :)
Choosing the right ingredient matters. For dry skin I would recommend olive oil
or honey. Neem water is apt for pimple prone skin and milk for oily skin. You
can also make your own coffee scrub by adding the coffee decoction to the basic
ingredient

Hope you liked this post! Do leave your suggestions
and comments below!
