Hi all !!
Today i'm going to do another requested tutorial, and this time Aayushi has requested me to come up with a simple, rather kind of no makeup look as she has to attend her Convocation. Woooot Woot Congratulations Aayushi !! Anywas before i could think of anything, i asked her about her preferences like what she exactly wants + what stuff she has, so that she can use it to accentuate her eyes more.
Preference :-
- Simple makeup - Check ! She wears specs, so I told her i'd concentrate on giving a soft yet precised contoured look, to enhance the eyes rather sinking them in with heavy and dark shadows.
- Easy to achieve - Check ! This is a very simple eyemakeup, you'd hardly need a couple of things namely, a good concealer, a highlighting pencil/eyeshadow (white or flesh tone, matte/shimmery), waterproof eye pencil / gel eyeliner, and compact.
So Lets start the tutorial :-
Step 1 :- Prep & Prime lids :-
On any occasion i'd tell to prime your lids (which in anyways is important), but in case you don't have a primer, then just dab some foundation/concealer all over your eyes and on lower lash line. Blend it well upto yout brow bone. Here in the 1st image i've blended a stick concealer first, and in 2nd image i used a liquid concealer to blend it further and tone down any dullness.
Tip :- If you have dry skin and lid area which is san oil, go in for cream based concealers for e.g like nyx pot concealers, mac studio finish concealer, or bobby brown concealer. If you have oily skin, get yourself a primer first and use a liquid concealer.
Step 2 :- Apply Base eyeshadow & Define Socket
Use any flattering nude eyeshadow as a base color, i used a coral eyeshadow here, and place it all over your lid. Don't brush if off, just make sure to pat the color on lid. After that take a matte taupe grey/brown or whatever dark color you have with you, and place in on the area where you can feel the socket of your eye, don't forget to blend it a little bit. This blending doesn't need to be too much or too less, as we want some definition, and anyways you'll be wearing glasses so it won't show up much.
Tip :- If you don't have any eyeshadow, the best thing to do is use your compact powder all over the lid as shadow, this would ensure you have a flawless lid while it won't look like you're wearing too much. And for the contouring part, you can use a kohl pencil on the socket, i.e just draw a small line and blend it with your fingers.
Step 3 :- Highlight
This is how it looks after placing and blending all the colors. In the 2nd image you can see that i've used a white pencil on the inner corner, just push it in the inner corners of your eyes and use your ring finger or to blend it.
Similarly i pushed some white kohl on the brow bone and blended it. While the kohl has been blended, just set it with any white matte/pearl or any lighter shade you have, so that it doesn't moves.
Tip :- If you don't have a highlighting eyeshadow, you can use your talc, but please do it on your counsel, as this could be harmful. Just make sure it doesn't gets into your eyes.
Just line your eyes, and tightline your upper lash line. For the lower lashline, i've use white kohl on the 3/4 part of my eyes, and for the rest area i've used a gel eyeliner to seal the outer corners. Apply mascara and your done with it

The major reason i emphasized on highlighting and contouring is due to the fact people who constantly wear glasses can get deep casts around their eyes and on the bridge of the nose, so it kind of steals the beauty of your eyes. If you'd highlight your eyes and the way its been done, they will certainly pop out and will make your eyes look beautiful. And as for Ayushi reference , i paired up this look with a peachy blush and pink lips, you can also use any colored eye pencil in place of black gel eyeliner too.
