Teaser : Sleek Makeup Acid-i-Divine Palette Swatches & EOTD

Hi all !!

The other day i posted about my first sleek palette, so many of you asked to show the swatches, so here i am with a li'l teaser of my brand new sleek Acid-i-divine palette (ok, i'm exaggerating it now i guess :P )

Unfortunately, there are no shade names, at least i couldn't locate it on the palette 

Below are the swatches without any primer, and taken in natural light ,i am NC 43.5 in MAC.

Few shades are matte, few are neon matte, and others have pearl finish  so this is a fab palette for me where i can enjoy all the colors, and i absolutely love playing with colors, so i have a variety in this palette !! And i'm looking forward to do more experiment with the neon colors 

I did this no fuss look using neon parrot green (Bottom row: 4th from Left) and neon bright yellow (Top row: 3rd from Left) on lids, and blended it using the matte purple eyeshadow (Bottom row: 1st eyeshadow), will post the tutorial soon

Surprise !! My first sleek palette & Inglot Duraline

Hi all !

I'm soo happy to inform you all that i got my first sleek palette, and can't thank enough Rekha from Glitter and Gorgeous, to gift me this, the reason being i won her Glossybox Giveaway, and with all the chaos and drama glossybox people did, the winner's were compromised with some gift vouchers, which we never got anyways.

Presenting you my sleek makeup Acid-i-divine Palette, and oh i totally forgot, that i also manage to purchase Inglot Duraline during the mother's day sale where they were offering 25% off.

Actually a few days back Rekha, asked me casually, which were the best palettes according to me, i gave her my opinion regarding sleek palettes, without knowing that she was actually thinking to gift me sleek !!

Review : MyFace Cosmetics Blingtone Eyeshadow - Purple Haze

Hi all !

Today i'd be reviewing an eyeshadow from MyFace Cosmetics, and the shade is Purple Haze, and by now you  must have known that i love purple eyeshadows/ pencils a lot, so i was excited to have this in the stash too. Read on to know if its good or bad..

Claims :-

• A wicked wash of icy glamour
• Intense pearlescent shine
• Non-chalky, weightless and soft

Price :- £19.99, $20.00 (i'm not sure, but the website states that)

This single eyeshadow comes in a round clear plastic case, which is sturdy enough. 

On the back of the eyeshadow case you'll get eyeshadow name and a few other details.

The shade purple haze is a very pretty purple shade, which looks dark purple in the pan,

 but once you use it, the color comes out to be very sheer lilal color, and has lots of fine

glitter in it, and no matter how much i tap off the excess amount, there's always a lot of

fallout of glitter. The hue doesn't comes out on its own, apparently on my Indian skin tone,

and oily eyelid, its difficult to see the color, and needs to be layered on to make it visible,

and the more i layer it, the more there's fallout and glitter all over my face. Although the

glitter/shimmer isn't chunky, but its more like sparkle, and hence the name blingtone !!

I have a major problem with this shimmer thing, as it doesn't goes if i use a cosmetic wipe,

or even an eye makeup remover to clear out all the fall out, i even used cello tape to pick

up the shimmer and clear it.

On its own it fails to give an impressive look, and with all the glitter over your face, you 

won't like it. However, with a base like Nyx jumbo eye pencil in milk, or any other white

eyeshadow base, it will come out more bright, and  people with oily lids definitely need 

a primer beneath to make it last long.

Over all a decent, but not my favorite eyeshadow ! i will use it sparingly cause its
quite difficult to deal with the shimmer that gets displaced after you place the eyeshadow
on your lid. Even tapping off the excess amount, and the packing technique doesn't works !

I will do a look using this sometime soon  and sorry for being MIA, will try to be
regular *pinky promise*

Review : Young Discover Youthopia Lipstick - 225 Rose Damask

Today i'm going to review a lipstick from a very new brand, which is yet to be discovered by a lot of people, it is Young Discover Youthopia, by Sprivil Healthcare Private Limited. Read more about them HERE.

Claims :-

Lipstick With Clarified Butter (Cow's ghee) A lipstick that takes care of your lips. Made using patented technology, these lipsticks contain the goodness of clarified butter, kokum butter (garcinia indica), honey and beeswax. This creamy formulation locks in the moisture of your lips instantly and keeps them soft and supple throughout the day. All our lipsticks made with natural mineral colours and glide smoothly onto your lips caring and beautifying them.

Well the lipstick comes in a tiny cardboard casing, and the packaging of the lipstick is sturdy, the cap being not too flimsy. But the packaging is plain glossy black, with a silver sort of ring on the waist. The bottom of the lipstick has the shade no.and name, although you will find the details only on the cardboard casing that it comes with.

The shade rose damask is a pretty peachy pink shade, and turns out as a subtle coral-pink shade with very slight brown undertones on fair lips. It qualifies as a MLBB shade, and is very much similar to Faces Go chic Lipstick hazelnut, the former being corally-pink and the later being beige influenced.

The finish of the lipstick is semi-matte and it glides on superbly on lips. The pigmentation of lipstick scores 10/10 as it looks same be it 1 swipe or even 3 swipes, and covers up pigmented lips properly + they have 24 internationally preferred shades, and many of them to suit Indian skin tones. I was worrying, considering the fact that the lipstick has ghee (clarified cow butter) in it, so it might melt or bleed on lips, but surprisingly the lipstick is still intact in its form (i don't keep my lipsticks in fridge) whereas a few lipsticks that i have from reputed brand, have melted or deformed, so again a 10/10 for that too

The lipstick covers up pigmented lips very well, and stays on for 3+ hrs, with meals it stays around 2-3hrs, and it leaves a nice tint upon fading. It doesn't flakes much with time, and doesn't settles into fine lines.While using this lipstick, i didn't felt need of a lip balm, since it is quite hydrating, and provides enough moisturization, and it sticks to their claim " A Lipstick that takes care of your lips". Its somewhere close to Colorbar Velvet matte Lipstick in shade Peach Crush (i'm not sure though as i don't own it)

Overall, i'm happy with this lipstick, and surprisingly for the fact that its moisturizing, and semi-matte which leaves happy lips with a nice tint which stays on like the rest of the day. Some can find the price too much for 4.25gms of lipstick, but i think we need to promote our Indian brands too who have the potential to be the best among others. Its one of the best lipsticks that i've used so far, and i'm eyeing a few other shades such as Flame, Sunset, and pink fever etc, and these lipsticks can be purchased from Goodlife.com.

Teaser : Clarins Gentle Foaming Cleanser

Today i'l be quickly reviewing another Clarins product, which is Gentle Foaming Cleanser. This is one cleanser that i can actually swear after my H.G face wash, which every other girl with combination/oily skin swears by, i.e Himalaya Herbals Neem Face wash. Generally when i tend to switch over a new face product, be it anything, there's 80% chances of me breaking out, but because i want to try i normally keep a backup of the later. I received this sample size tube, and its been more than 3 weeks that i'm using it almost daily atleast once ( and sometimes more ) and this didn't disappoint me.. Read on to know more.

I have combination skin, which turned out to be stubbornly dry in the past few weeks before i started using this cleanser. My skin became so sensitive and was almost peeling, that i was so apprehensive and confused what to use or what not to use. So, in that scenario, using himalaya's neem face wash would have turned out too bad for the skin, and also Lush Aqua Marina Cleanser would have dried out my skin furthermore. So fortunately i tried this, and it worked awesomely !! 

Claims :-

Now the texture of the cleanser is very cleanser i.e creamy type, but creamy means it lathers well and the Tamarind pearls it has, gently exfoliate the skin and melt into the skin after some time. The smell is very subtle (i'm bad at fragrance description ), and not too weird for any dislikes. And i'm bowled over the fact, that these cleansers (Read Clarins White Plus Pearl-To-Cream Brightening Cleanser's Review) are so efficient, that one needs to use a small amount Pea-size amount to cover up your entire face and cleanse effectively. They lather very nicely, and gives a squeaky clean skin, oh and one more thing, they claim to protect skin from drying effects of hard water, we get hard water here, so this works well with it without making skin dry or extra dry.

The face remains glowy and clean for about 3hrs, and after that i can see some shine, but if I use Clarins Hydra matte Lotion after using it, then the shine and oil gets controlled for another an hour or so (don't forget the kind of environment one gets exposed to). Oh and i totally forgot about the dry skin thing i was talking about ? well this cleanser was so gentle, that it didn't burn or tingle my skin (where every single thing that i used, even moisturizers burnt my skin) I will update what else i used to repair my skin  However, this cleanser won't help extremely if you want to cure pimples or acne, but for a combination/oily skin this is just the apt cleanser which is gentle enough to take care of your skin
