Hi all !!
Today i will be reviewing Just Herbs Pimple treatment powder, or say face pack. Since last 2 months, i've been constantly complaining about my troubled skin, on one hand where my hands went absurdly dry, and my T-Zone went dry, on the other hand the driest area of my face suffered frequent and more often breakouts. I can't figure out whats the reason of the sudden change, maybe excess use of A.C , but wait its too hot that i can't even think of being without a.c , or maybe definite hormonal changes, or umm i don't know. Unfortunately this time, my trusted H.G Anti acne Cream -- Shahnaz hussain's Shaclove night treatment cream also didn't show any results, i got terribly confused and upset as to what should i use, because i obviously didn't wanted to waste my money on salon treatments. Anyways my almost daily breakout problems has been 80% solved using this treatment, so lets read more about it..
Claims :-
A synergistic blend of biologically active Indian herbs to regulate the excess flow of sebum, control the growth of bacterial population and the associated inflammations (redness). Neem, has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties while sandalwood, turmeric and orange peel soothe the inflamed skin and help the skin to naturally eliminate toxins. Effectively flushes out every trace of bacteria, grime, and excess oil from clogged pores thus preventing the formation of black or white heads and the consequent pore enlargement. It works hard on pimples deep down to soothe and heal the troubled skin from within.

Majuphal, orange peel, symplocos racemosus, gingiber officinalis, myristica fragrans, neem, sandal wood powder, triphal, arjuna, curcuma longa, yellow zeodary, sapindus trifooliatus, lentils, indian volcanic clay
The pimple treatment is actually a dry face pack, and comes in a long sturdy plastic bottle. Initially i was wondering whether the packaging is fool proof or not, but the packaging is good, and i like that small note hanging around its neck
. The other thing that made me worry was that maybe i'd waste the product because of the wide mouth of the bottle (ok its not that wide, but still its wide) , regardless of that i still had a control over the amount, so no you can't really waste the product.

Before i tell my experience, lets know more about the herbs being used in this treatment pack.
- Majuphal ( Quercus infectoria) :- Helps in wound healing, Majuphal alone or in combination with other herbs is a promising remedy for dental troubles. Powerful astringent and styptic. Useful in leucorrhoea and other vaginal discharges and in profuse menstruation. Also useful in diarrhoea, dysentery, gleet and long standing gonorrhoea. It is also used as a gargle to treat sore throats, stomatitis and tonsillitis
- Symplocus Racemosa :- Bark is astringent, refrigerant, ophthalmic, expectorant, anti-inflammatory, hypothermic, astringent, depurative, febrifuge, haemostatic, stomachic and suppurative. Bark is used to treat haemorrhage, acne and pimples, eye diseases, spongy and bleeding gums, leucorrhea, wounds, ulcers, tumors, leprosy, skin diseases, asthma, bronchitis, dropsy, arthritis, fever, menstrual disorders, liver diseases, menorrhagia, diarrhea, dysentery, and bowel complaints. A decoction of the bark or wood is used as a gargle for giving firmness to spongy and bleeding gums. It is one of the constituent of a plaster used to promote maturation of boils and other malignant growth.
- Gingiber Officinalis (Ginger) :- Ginger is a stimulant, carminative, diuretic and diaphoretic. It is especially valuable in alcoholic gastritis and helps relieve diarrhoea and inflammation. Ginger Tea is a hot infusion very useful for stoppage of the menses due to cold. Externally it is used as a rubefacient. It is also used in chronic chest complaints, painful spasms of bowels and stomach.
- Neem :- Neem's traditional use is based on its detoxifying benefits that help maintain healthy circulatory, digestive, respiratory and urinary systems. It is used for external applications in skin diseases. Neem is bitter and alterative. It is used as a poultice in boils, is antiseptic, demulcent, a tonic in catarrhal affections, stomachic, stimulant. One of the most powerful blood purifiers and detoxifiers in Ayurvedic usage, Neem is often used to maintain healthy skin.
- Sandal Wood powder :- It helps in treating acne, psoriasis, dermatitis, stubborn marks, and gives a glowing skin.
- Triphala :- Triphala prevents aging, imparts immunity and improves mental faculties. It helps to detoxify the liver, restore digestion and purify blood. Triphala is widely used in a large number of medicinal preparations.
- Curcuma Longa (Haldi/Turmeric) :- Tall herb. Rootstock large, ovoid, with sessile cylindrical tubers orange-colored inside. It is applied with oil to any roughness of the skin; with lime to bruises, sprains, and all kinds of wounds. A decoction forms a cooling eyewash. When boiled with milk and sugar, it is the popular remedy for cold; the fumes are inhaled by those suffering from severe coryza.
Now straight off to my experience, i use this f.p (face pack) along with rose water, although they suggest you to use it with little curd and diluted lemon juice, But rose water alone has also helped. I also put a few drops of essential oil, which i will be reviewing too.
The proportions of the herbs and ingredients are perfectly blended, i.e. they are apt and while you make paste you get the perfect consistency. I had used a few powder face packs in past, of which the proportions of ingredients wasn't right and the paste used to end up like coarse chutney because of chunky and coarsely ground herbs. This f.p has just the right thing in it, and i normally used it twice a day. Note, i always thought pimple treatment products are strong and cause harsh tingling sensation (which is normal, but sometimes unbearable), but i use it at noon and before i go to bed, And almost using for more than 2 weeks and twice a day, i can actually confirm that the product works, and is mild and gentle enough to be used twice. In fact the directions card says to use it morning and evening , but i used it twice without reading it (
silly mee )

The powder has mild fragrance of almost every herb, i could easily detect turmeric (haldi) , sandal wood powder (chandan powder), neem & orange peel .. and despite the active ingredients the pack doesn't stings 1%
It has treated my breakouts and zits to a large extent, but i have only one complaint, and that is that it didn't prevent the new one's from popping out. But wait, they clearly say that when pimples subside, use their neempure arjun-nutmeg skin puriying neem pack. At this price i wished it could prevent pimples from popping out, but then it has cured the existing ones, and the open pores are much healed now. Earlier there were minimum of 5 zits here and there on my face, but after using it for such a long time, i can see a slight reduction , i.e. only 1-2 zits in a day or two.
This is a keeper for sure, i know one tends to stick to products that show their efficacy
and one more thing, 60gms of dry powder is surely going to stay for a longer time, maybe more than 2months. This one gets a thumbs up from me and i'd definitely suggest all who are facing pimple problems to try it and stick to the directions that they have mentioned, also try to keep following things in mind :-

- Cut out any excess fat & junk food intake.
- Exercise.
- Take plenty of fluids ( i normally struggle for same.. but i make it to 2-2.5ltrs of fluid per day).
- Maintain a healthy diet and include fruits and vegetables, lentils etc.
- Avoid excess spices.
- Wash your face with a purifying face wash twice a day, and more with plain water to keep dirt and oil at bay.
- Avoid oily/greasy moisturizers & use light weight moisturizers, which hydrate your skin.
Godbless !
P.S :- Product sent by the brand for consideration, however it hasn't affected my opinion.
