Here is another product review for the Giveaway which is my new compact from FACES Minerals. After trying out Revlon, Lakme , Maybelline WhiteStay UV  etc.,  I thought of checking out this one. I got the shade Honey Beige for me which is close to my skin tone.  

All About Faces Compressed Powder:

The pressed powder gives sheer to medium coverage. It is lightweight setting powder to set foundation . I usually use it to set my foundation but it gives subtle coverage even if used alone on a moisturized skin. It evens out the skin tone and overs slight imperfections. But if you have dark spots or blemishes you need to use concealer(I’ve used only Loreal and always try to use liquid concealer) before applying this. It gives a nice, smooth matte finish, non powdery look that still looks like a natural skin.

My Experience with the FACES :

The staying power is amazing. It stays put on my oily skin the whole day without any need for touch ups. It doesn’t make my skin oily or dull even when being out in the sun.

Actually I have very sensitive skin and many things give me a rash. I particularly like the Mineral Face powder. I use it instead of foundation and it works great. It's sometimes hard to find the Creamy Natural shade, so I've started buying 2 or 3 at a time so I never run out. One compact lasts me about 5 months.

• All about Minerals And their benefits :  Minerals such as Mica and Silica help achieve a smooth, "second skin" feel and finish.  Mineral Wear maintains a natural appearance by gently absorbing oil without drying and helping to minimize the appearance of fine lines. I have got the shade Honey Beige 01. They have a wide variety of shades on the website, but I think only few are available in India.

• Vitamins and Minerals are the Daily Dose :This "good-for-your-skin" powder regimen would not be complete without a healthy dose of vitamins.  In addition to the minerals, Mineral Wear contains derivatives of Vitamin A & E, natural anti-oxidants which help to protect and condition the skin.

• Directions : May be worn alone or over makeup. Lightly brush on powder over face and neck to even out skin tone with a natural-looking finish. For the most even application, be sure to tap excess powder from brush before applying. For best results on dry to very dry skin, apply moisturizer prior to using powder.

• Packaging : The packaging is very neat and travel friendly. It comes housed in a black cardboard packaging. The pressed powder comes in a round, matte finish black compact with a built in mirror inside the lid,  and a puff applicator which is soft.

Pro's of FACES mineral Compact

• Made from 100% minerals(which is good for Skin), natural ingredients, contains no perfume that is what the company claims.
• Lightweight and easy to carry.

• Applies smoothly to provide a flawless, satin-smooth finish .
• Hypo allergenic and non comedogenic.
• Light to medium coverage.
• Great for normal to oily skin.
• Sturdy packaging with mirror and puff.

• Minimalist formula helps reduce irritation & breakout .

Con’s of FACES mineral Compact

• Pricey as compared to other Compacts.
• Texture is not that silky smooth, therefore blending can be difficult, but i manage with it.
• No SPF as even Maybelline and other brands comes with the SPF
• No proper details are mentioned.

Final verdict:

I felt Maybelline Whitestay is better and I would want to try a different brand next time. I'm not too fond of the texture but it blends well into my skin making it oily free and fresh, and i sometimes do touch-ups .The texture is not silky smooth i.e. not as smooth as that of Lakme Perfect Radiance Compact. I need to swipe a couple of times to take the powder onto the puff. However it blends onto the skin very efficiently..

Price:-Rs. 499 for 9 gm (I got it for Rs. 359).

Will I repurchase? NO!
